The Table Sourdough Company is a small batch artisan bakery located in Martinsburg West Virginia. We bake organic, naturally leavened sourdough bread and sweet treats using clean, dye-free ingredients and locally sourced farm goods whenever possible. Our mission is to bring people together around the table through food that is simple and wholesome. You can find our products through porch pick ups, farmer’s markets, and local partnerships.
What makes us unique is that we’re not just baking bread – we’re building community. Every loaf we craft is made with simple clean ingredients and a whole lot of care, but it’s about more than just wholesome food to us. We believe that bread has a way of bringing people together, slowing life down, and making space for conversation, laughter, and love around the table. In a world that often feels rushed and noisy, we want to be a simple reminder of the beauty of gathering – where bread becomes a symbol of both community and hospitality. Our heart is in the kitchen, but our joy is found at the table, where bread becomes a bridge between people.
Right now we’re growing faster than our little home bakery can handle and that is such a blessing. With the prize money we plan to increase our baking capacity by purchasing some much needed equipment such as a bread oven, mixer, and refrigerator for proofing bread. This means we’d be able to serve more families, support more farms, and be able to say yes to more wholesale and farmer’s market opportunities.
