MiMi & Papa’s Dips-n-More is a small business located in the heart of Berkeley County. Owned by Tracy Burcker and her husband, Dennis, the shop sells diverse merchandise from delicious treats to WV treasures. They began their journey selling at fairs and antique stores. Looking to expand, they opened a retail store in 2021 and broadened their product base to be as inclusive as possible, offering candles, snacks, sweets, and gifts for all ages.
“We have a little bit of everything and something for everybody, we have items for babies, adults, teens, young children-there’s something for all walks of life,” says Burcker.
Burcker attributes much of their success to the growth that Berkeley County has seen, not just in population, but in visitors coming for special events-like Mainstreet Martinsburg’s “Summer Concert Series.”
“We’ve been tracking ourselves and have doubled, if not tripled every month so far this year, and we are seeing a lot more people, not just from Berkeley County, but people that have travelled in,” Burcker shares.
“I know Berkeley County is doing a lot more events and we can tell the difference because we definitely see an increase in business when there are events in town,” she continues.
Burcker is excited to be a part of the Berkeley County community, as Mimi & Papa’s has become a staple in the area, not just for their great customer service and unique products, but also because they support other local businesses and are community-driven. Burcker enthuses,
“I think it is better to do business in Berkeley County because there are so many small businesses, and the community is great. We have a lot of small businesses that sponsor community events and other nonprofit events, they donate toward fundraisers and that is what really drives our nonprofits and helps our children and community.”
The BCDA is proud to support Mimi & Papa’s Dips-n-More and look forward to their continued success for many years to come! To learn more about Mimi & Papa’s Dips-n-More, visit https://www.facebook.com/mimiandpapasdips/
