According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate dropped from 3.4%-3.3% from March to April 2023 and still sits below the national unemployment rate. Since April 2022, West Virginia is one of only 16 states that has seen a statistically significant drop in unemployment from 3.7% to 3.3%.

Since 2022, West Virginia has seen its lowest unemployment rates in state history; and leaders are hopeful to see those numbers maintain.
