Serenity Day Spa is an all-inclusive salon and spa offering a wide range of amenities. From well-known offerings like manicures and massages to more exclusive services like body polishing and facial enzyme therapy, their focus is provide their clients with an exceptional experience. The spa originally opened in 1996 and has been purchased by different community members aiming to keep the tradition of excellent service alive, while adding their own signature flare.
Ruby Avey, a lifelong resident of Berkeley County purchased the Spa in 2017. Since that time, they have grown significantly, even changing locations to be able to better accommodate customers. Avey’s vision is to make sure every customer who enters their doors leaves feeling pampered, relaxed, and rejuvenated.
The spa has built a reputation for exceeding expectations and prides itself on being present for all their clients’ life events.
“From a bride to a prenatal mother, they can come in and spend the day with us,” says Manager, Donna Gardner.
From marriages to babies to helping through harder times, Serenity is honored to be there for the people of the Berkeley County Community.
“There are some fantastic people that live in Berkeley County, and fantastic people to network and to just do life with,” praises Avey.
Recently, the Spa moved to a new location, a large house on North Western Avenue in Martinsburg. The new site is much larger and has provided them with more exposure being embedded in the community. Avey raves,
“We’re unique, we’re in a house now, it really gives that homey feel!”
Being able to offer a cozy atmosphere provides a special ambiance for their patrons.
Avey is impressed with the local workforce applauding her staff,
“I can’t say enough about our technicians here. They’re all amazing and give it their all, and really try to pamper and make every client feel wonderful.”
As the population continues to increase Avey still believes the people are the difference in the success she’s had enthusing,
“It’s better to business in Berkeley County because it is a small community and its very tight knit. Everyone supports one another and they work together!”
