Who are the education partners in Berkeley County?

Berkeley County Schools supports more than 20,000 students with 3,395 staff members. It boasts a 98% graduation rate with ample programs for students to choose from. The county has 16 elementary schools, six intermediate and six middle schools, and four high schools. It also has a Pre-K learning center, a virtual school, and an adult education center.

The adult education center is particularly useful for earning a high school equivalency (HEI) diploma and completing workplace certifications.

Blue Ridge CTC is based in Martinsburg and offers a variety of academic programs. From culinary arts to software development, students can find the coursework they need. There are also a significant number of workforce training programs for people who want to grow their skills. Companies can work with Blue Ridge CTC to enroll employees and develop programs.

Based in Shepherdstown, this public university offers more than 80 majors. It is known for its small class sizes, which allows students to receive personalized attention throughout the learning process.

Residents looking to grow their skills can enroll in the Martinsburg campus of Valley College or look into its online coursework. This college is known for its veterinary, nursing, and technology programs.
