Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced Wednesday that $2.1 million in state grants has been awarded to help develop business-ready sites across 23 counties in West Virginia.

The funding will support engineering and architectural work, including environmental and geotechnical studies, to prepare sites for large-scale commercial and industrial development. State officials say the goal is to reduce development timelines and make West Virginia more competitive when companies are choosing where to locate new facilities.
