Governor Patrick Morrisey has awarded $2.1 million in Ready Sites grants to support engineering and architectural work that will help prepare business-ready sites across 23 West Virginia counties.

The funding pays for items such as environmental and geotechnical studies so communities can present shovel-ready locations to companies considering large-scale investment.

“Speed to build is critically important when companies are deciding on a location to do business, build facilities, and create jobs. This funding is going to ensure West Virginia is competitive and well-positioned to attract new industry and investment for years to come.” — Governor Patrick Morrisey
