Berkeley County Development Authority Enhances Business and Development Support Services With a New Website

Designed in collaboration with Golden Shovel Agency, BCDA’s new website will help the organization tell its story and power economic development in the county

MARTINSBURG, WV — A newly launched website will put the focus on business attraction for the Berkeley County Development Agency (BCDA). Developed in collaboration with Golden Shovel Agency, the leading marketing and communications partner dedicated exclusively to economic development, the new site will help BCDA tell a more cohesive story about the people, places, and development opportunities Berkeley has available to support both potential investors and existing businesses. 

Designed to be modern, easy to navigate, and informative, the new site makes it simple for current business owners and those interested in moving to the county to find information about the existing workforce, available land and rental sites, financial resources, and more.  

“We wanted this new site to help us tell a cohesive story that supports and enhances BCDA’s longstanding support for business attraction and economic growth while also allowing us to continue supporting existing businesses,” said Jennifer Smith, Executive Director, BCDA. “This site will be a powerful tool for supporting our efforts to bring development to the county by showcasing available properties and infrastructure and highlighting the partnerships and assets that make our county such a desirable place to live, work, and grow.” 

Visitors to the new site will find an easily searchable database of available development sites alongside information about the labor force, a job board, news about what’s happening in the county, and links to resources that support first-time entrepreneurs and existing businesses that are ready to grow. The site also offers information about the many advantages Berkeley County offers for business owners, including easy access to Interstate highways, ports, rail, and airports; a thriving current business community; and a favorable corporate income tax environment. 

“The BCDA staff has done significant work to lay the foundation for development in the county, so this website is really a way to give them a stronger online presence that positions them for ongoing success and strengthens their ability to bring high-quality jobs and private investment to the community,” said Bethany Quinn, President, Golden Shovel Agency. “Berkeley County has a lot to offer, and this site will help them highlight the qualities that make them shine.”
